Remember Me!

photodune-9254946-trying-to-remember-xsIf we could just get our prospects to remember us, we’d be golden. If a prospect expresses interest in your product or services, chances are they NEED you. But will they make the decision to go forward? And better yet, when they DO make that decision, will they remember you?

That’s key. How often do you hear from a prospect that you talked to more than a year ago? If you do, then chances are, you said, or did something, that made them remember you. Whatever it was, THAT was the best marketing you did. So how can you keep that up?

Create a message that people remember. Easier said than done. It’s a question we always ask our clients. Chances are, we get the same information from all of them – information that really doesn’t make you stand out. They tell us:

. . .we’re knowledgeable, experienced and trustworthy.

. . .we take better care of our customers.

. . . we are sincere.

These are messages that won’t get results. Our customer EXPECT us to be knowledgeable. They expect us to care. And if we’re in business, we better be experienced.

Let’s make an effort to be different. Here are some ideas:

  • You have a personal story that, when promoted properly, can make you stand out and be noticed.
  • Is there something about the history of your company that you can bring to the foreground? What motivated you to start the company?
  • What about the name of your company or why it was founded? Is there some significance in the name?
  • Why should I choose your services over your competitor’s? Be honest here!

Coming up with a targeted message, one that gets through to your prospects, can help your company make the leap forward. It takes thought. It takes digging. Need to brainstorm?
